Brigid, the patron of warriors and craftsmen.

Inspired by :iconmoyan:'s image Brigantia.

I've been home ill all week so it was nice today to not only be in the mood create, but also to find an image that inspired me to do so.

As always, thanks for stopping by.

Wonderful render ! :D her armor is amazing!
Reminds me of a valkyrie :D Is she a godess from mythology or an original character?

Thank you, her armour is a combination of 4 different sets - took me most of the day to get the pieces right and fitting how I wanted.

She's a goddess from Celtic mythology. I did a bit of reading up first before I committed myself to this one. This is the basis info wise I worked with.

In Celtic mythology, Brigid ("goddess who exults herself") was the daughter of Dagda and wife of Bres.

Brigid was known by many names, but all the different divinities were three-aspected goddesses.

1. "Fire of Inspiration" - patroness of poets
2. "Fire of the Hearth" - patroness of healers, goddess of fertility
3. "Fire of the Forge" - patroness of smiths, craftsmen and warriors
